Dong Zhi means arrival of winter and also time for family reunion to celebrate the good year they have had. Even though you don't have a very good year also can calebrate... ^^
Dong Zhi usually arrives 6 weeks before Chinese New Year.
Tang Yuan is cooked and eaten to symbolize unity and harmony of a family. Tang Yuen is glutinuous rice flour balls served in sweet soup.

ooooh! i eat the tangyuan with soup in the morning and suddenly feel like eating again! so made the dip in peanut tangyuen at night muahahah :-D will post in my blog later =P
